Name: Dwayne ir'Dorn
Species: Shifter (wolf)
Abilities: He can shift between his forms at will. In his wolf form he can take significantly more damage before going down, and he has sharp teeth and claws. Unlike a werewolf, his abilities are not tied to the full moon, and while he does have greater animal impulses in his wolf form, he does not lose control. There is a disease in his world that makes the afflicted lose control of themselves when they shift and makes them have to shift when the moon is full, and he will be quick to clarify if there's any confusion on that distinction.
He is also skilled with weapons, particularly axes, as well as wrestling and hand to hand combat. He enjoys the various sports of his world, most of which are similar to ours, but with a more dangerous twist.
Setting: For anyone familiar with the Eberron setting from D&D, it's Eberron. It's a magitech world with sky coaches, light rail and androids powered by magic who are called the Warforged. It's also a world where fighting with swords, crossbows or axes is a perfectly reasonable choice. Dwayne is from Karrnath, a country that uses legions of the undead as a large portion of their military and also to do day to day tasks. While he hasn't learned any necromancy himself, he still feels his extensive combat training is useful, because you always have to protect your necromancers.
